Garden (West Wall)The west wall has had the most modifications in recent times. The kitchen door is a relatively new feature and the windows have been replaced (early 1980s) with leaded double glazing.
The south west corner of this wall takes most of the battering from the weather. As a result, the existing masonry paint is very worn and cracked. One of our jobs over the summer is to remove this damaged paint and replace it with a lime wash that will hopefully crack far less that the mordern paint that it will replace.
One change we may make here is to have new windows made that match those on the front and side to replace the modern and inappropriate existing windows. |
