LarderThe larder is a small room off of the kitchen. It had significant damp problems caused by cement render and coverings of plastic sheeting sandwiched behind hardboard! We have removed all of the cement renders and plasters and are now waiting for the room to dry out. When dry, the room will be replastered using lime and then limewashed.
As an interesing aside, the wall between the larder and the bathroom appears to be made of modern breeze blocks, indicating that this room separation is a relatively recent addition to the property. |
