LandingThe landing links the Master Bedroom and the rear bedrooms to the main stairs. As the main stairs appear to be a relatively modern addition to the house, this room may not have been a landing when the house was originally built.
The main feature of the landing is a low beam (lots of scope for headbanging here!) with many tenon and peg holes. This beam is probably where a wall was that separated the front cottages from the rear cottages in the original configuration of the house.
The landing has plenty of space potential to put in a nice trunk or pew plus a bookcase. We are currently looking for suitable furniture. |
