The guest bedroom is one of the original bedrooms that faces onto Church Lane.
It has extensive timber frame exposed. While we are carrying out our work downstairs
this room is out temporary livingroom. Once the ground floor of the house is
finished then we are planning to use this bedroom as our main guest room.

Guest Bedroom
The windows of this room are very old lead casement windows. The are servicable,
but need some repair, which we will be undertaking in the near future.

Lead Casement Windows
This room also contains the chimney breast from the main fireplace in the living room.
There is also a small fireplace in this room, but this is no longer servicable.

Fireplace
The floor of this room is covered with carpet, but underneath there appears to be the
original oak floorboards. In time we will probably take up the carpet and polish the
floorboards and have them exposed.

Carpet Covering Oak Floorboards
As well as leading to the ensuite bathroom, the guest bedroom has access to the steep,
old stairs that come up from the snug.

Steep Stairs Down To The Snug
Our main plans for this room, apart from the floor, are to remove the woodchip wall paper
and to replace with appropriate lime plaster and lime wash.
