The Coach House

At the bottom of the garden is an old building (probably Victorian). It is thought that this was probably a Coach House when it was originally built. Over the years it appears to have been neglected, modified and generally left to decay. It now has some structural problems and needs a large amount of work doing to it. When we moved in it was in a very delapedated state.

The Coach House When We Moved In

Since moving into the house we have done some minor repairs to this building, including putting in some missing windows and giving the windows and doors a coat of paint. Now we have reached the point where we need to do some fairly major stabilising work. The work being done is covered on the repairs page.

We have currently got as far as stripping the roof ready to make the structural changes required. At this time the Coach House looks like:

Our current long-term plans for the Coach House are to restore it as much as possible so that it is safe, water-tight and secure. We will then use it for storage and possibly a workshop or games area.
